Pictura Gallery is pleased to present Rania Matar’s series, SHE, which looks at young women coming of age in the US and in Lebanon. Matar is a Lebanese-born, American/Palestinian artist. She has dedicated her work to exploring issues of personal and collective identity, through photographs of female adolescence and womanhood. Matar’s portraits capture the lives of young women who persist in uncertain times.
The Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Museum of Art is currently exhibiting another one of Matar's series, Where Do I Go? لوين روح؟. It is on view March 5 - August 9 in the Rhonda and Anthony Moravec Gallery, Center for Prints, Drawings, and Photographs, Third Floor.
